Augusto Vitale Marino

Psychologist graduated from the Universidad de la Rep├║blica de Uruguay, socioanalyst and teacher. Specialized in Social and Institutional Psychology.


He has training and experience in drug policy, particularly from the perspective of harm reduction, violence prevention and health promotion programs, in different public and private institutions in Uruguay.

Diploma in Politics, Regulation and Control of Drugs by the University of the Republic (Uruguai).

He chaired the Institute for the Regulation and Control of Cannabis (IRCCA) created by Law 19,172 on behalf of the National Drug Secretariat (Presidency), in charge of the implementation of the law and its institutional development since the beginning of 2013 until the end of 2017.

He is currently a member of the Group of Studies at the Cannabis Interdisciplinary Space of the Universidad de la Rep├║blica de Uruguay, as Associate Researcher.
